Designed as a secluded retreat in New York's Catskill Mountains, this contemporary cabin embraces the surrounding forest through a sculptural, angular form and a restrained material palette. Locally sourced timber wraps both the interior and exterior, with the exterior charred black to create a striking contrast against the warm natural wood within. Carefully framed views, expansive glazing, and a subtle entrance sequence draw attention toward the light-filled living spaces, where the architecture dissolves into the surrounding landscape and celebrates a quiet connection to nature.
